The generation of tetrahedral mesh models for neuroanatomical MRI

► A tetrahedral meshing of 3D images having multiple region labels is described. ► Applied on T1 MRIs segmented into 56 sub-divisions and grey/white matter segmentation. ► Applied to non-human animal CT imaging data. ► The desirable modeling properties of tetrahedral meshes are discussed. ► Applications to normal and diseased brain in human and non-humans are discussed.
