Parasitic infections on the shore of Lake Victoria (East Africa) detected by Mini-FLOTAC and standard techniques

A survey conducted in North Tanzania on intestinal parasitic infections revealed 69% of the 251 subjects carried an helminthic and 13% a Giardia duodenalis infection. Such parasitic burden calls for control intervention.
