Establishment of caudal fin cell lines from tropical ornamental fishes Puntius fasciatus and Pristolepis fasciata endemic to the Western Ghats of India

- PFF cell line was developed from the fin of the Puntius fasciatus.
- CFF was developed from the fin of the Pristolepis fasciata.
- SVC, iridovirus and KHV could not be detected from the fishes.
- The ECPs of Vibrio cholerae and Aeromonas hydrophila were toxic to both the cells.
