Clinical burden and correlates of HIV and malaria co-infection, in northwest Nigeria

Advanced HIV disease, immunosuppression and bednet use predict occurrence of malaria-HIV coinfection in northwest Nigeria. Integrated malaria prevention and HIV/AIDS programs are recommended in this setting.
