The prevalence and intensity of Amblyomma javanense infestation on Malayan Pangolins (Manis javanica Desmarest) from Peninsular Malaysia

► The only Amblyomma javanense (ectoparasite) on Malayan Pangolins. ► The male and juvenile pangolins were higher infestation compared to female and adult. ► Mean intensity was higher on female and adult compared to male and juvenile. ► A. javanense life cycle is related to the age and gander of the pangolin. ► Male and adult ticks were higher numbers compared to female, nymph and larvae.
