2D-PAGE analysis of Taenia solium metacestode 10-30Â kDa antigens for the serodiagnosis of neurocysticercosis in children

► Sensitivity and specificity of serological methods were low in NCC children in India. ► 10-30 kDa antigenic fractions are highly sensitive and <23 kDa fractions are highly specific. ► 2D-PAGE EITB sensitivity (100% and 60%) and specificity (92%) were significantly high.
