Community structure of ground-water breeding mosquitoes driven by land use in a temperate wetland of Argentina

► The association between mosquitoes and wetlands is of public health concern. ► We studied the mosquito community associated to ground-water habitats in four land uses. ► Each land use was distinct in composition and diversity of ground-water habitats. ► Habitat availability determined mosquito species richness and composition. ► Hence, land use indirectly drives the mosquito community in the Paraná Lower Delta.
