Presence of intradomicile colonies of the triatomine bug Panstrongylus rufotuberculatus in Muñecas, La Paz, Bolivia

▶ Colonies of P. rufotuberculatus (one up to 300 bugs) found in the intradomicile. ▶ Colonies are associated with domestic guinea pigs. ▶ None of the insects was infected by Trypanosoma cruzi, and low prevalence of Chagas disease in the zone.▶ No evidence of local vectorial transmission of Chagas.
