Phlebotominae fauna (Diptera: Psychodidae) in an urban district of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, endemic for visceral leishmaniasis: Characterization of favored locations as determined by spatial analysis

▶ Peri-domiciles studied presented inadequate hygienic conditions that would favor the phlebotomines. ▶ Overlap of cases of human VL and positive tests for CVL indicated that they were geographically related. ▶ These findings reinforce the urbanization of VL.
