Antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties of nostocionone isolated from Nostoc commune Vauch and its derivatives against Propionibacterium acnes

Nost and NostD3 inhibit Propionibacterium acnes growth as well as P. acnes-induced inflammation, suggesting that Nost and NostD3 may be used for the treatment of acne vulgaris.
