Two generic PCR primer sets for the detection of members of the genus Torradovirus

► Two generic primer sets for the universal detection of torradoviruses in plants. ► All tested samples belonging to the four currently known torradovirus species were detected using these two primer sets. ► The primers performed well in two different laboratories, using different RNA extraction methods and PCR protocols.
