Development of a highly sensitive immunochromatographic detection kit for H5 influenza virus hemagglutinin using silver amplification

► Silver amplification was applied to immunochromatographic kit for detection of the H5 influenza virus hemmaglutinin. ► The sensitivity of the kit was increased 500 times by silver amplification. ► The sensitivity of this kit was more than 10 times greater than those of conventional rapid influenza diagnostic kits.
