Purification of infectious myonecrosis virus (IMNV) in species of marine shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei in the State of Ceará

► IMNV virus was purified from shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) using a simple method. ► Furthermore, anti-IMNV antibodies were produced in mouse. ► Western blotting and ELISA confirmed the specificity of antibodies toward IMNV. ► Thus, specific antiserum can be used for viral diagnosis on a large scale.
