Evaluation of a novel microplate colorimetric hybridization genotyping assay for human papillomavirus

► We describe a colorimetric method for the identification of six high-risk HPV. ► Simple low cost method based on hybridization of PCR products and colorimetric detection. ► Allows sensitive and specific simultaneous identification of the most frequent high-risk HPV types. ► Alternative method to the commercial kits that are too expensive to use in the developing countries.
