Rapid detection of sacbrood virus in honeybee using ultra-rapid real-time polymerase chain reaction

► We developed the rapid detection method for RNA viruses using real time PCR. ► We synthesized the cDNA from RNA viruses at different time points in order to show the reduced detection time. ► cDNA synthesis for 5 min was sufficient for detection of RNA virus. ► Detection of RNA viruses was completed within 22 min including reverse transcription and real time PCR.
