Morphological characteristics and pathogenicity of fungi associated with Roselle (Hibiscus Sabdariffa) diseases in Penang, Malaysia

► P. exigua, F. nygamai, R. solani and F. camptoceras were isolated from Roselle. ► Agar plate method was used effectively in the isolation of pathogens. ► P. exigua was pathogenic on wounded leaves. ► Roselle plants were found to be very susceptible to R. solani. ►F. camptoceras was showed as a weak pathogen on unwounded leaves.
