A common structure for the potexviruses

► We report low-resolution structures of three potexviruses. ► We describe papaya mosaic virus. ► We describe narcissus mosaic virus. ► We compare these viruses with potato virus X. ► All three viruses have slightly less than nine subunits per turn of the viral helix.
