Transcriptomic analysis of Chilo iridescent virus immediate early promoter

► In this study transcriptional analysis of CIV 012L gene was performed. ► Time course and inhibitor analysis classified the gene as an immediate early gene. ► 5′-RACE analysis identified a region with 30 nt long as 5′ UTR of this gene. ► Potential promoter analysis also showed that sequences between −20 and −10 relative to the transcription start site have key promoter activity for CIV 012L gene.
