The influence of HLA alleles and HBV subgenotyes on the outcomes of HBV infections in Northeast China

► HBV subgenotypes and HLA polymorphism as the most important viral and host genetic factors. They were determined by PCR-SSP. ► Analyzing the association between the clinical outcomes of HBV infections and HLA polymorphism in combination with HBV subgenotype. ► HBV infections include spontaneously recovered, acute self-limited and chronic infection. ► The different clinical outcomes of HBV infections may be effected by HLA alleles in combination with HBV subgenotype.
