TRAF family member-associated NF-kappa B activator (TANK) expression increases in injured sensory neurons and is transcriptionally regulated by Sox11

► Peripheral nerve injury increases Sox11 and TANK (TRAF-associated NF-κB activator) in DRG. ► In vitro overexpression of Sox11 increases TANK; Sox11 knockdown decreases TANK expression. ► TANK mRNA variants and protein isoforms are expressed in DRG neurons in response to injury. ► ChIP shows Sox11 binds the TANK promoter, suggesting Sox11 directly regulates TANK transcription.
