Combination of chewing and stress up-regulates hippocampal glucocorticoid receptor in contrast to the increase of mineralocorticoid receptor under stress only

► We investigated effects of chewing with stress on the hippocampal corticoid receptors. ► Stress only increased hippocampal mineral corticoid receptors. ► Stress with chewing increased hippocampal glucocorticoid receptors. ► Increase of hippocampal glucocorticoid receptors is a mechanism of coping stress.
