Aging-related alterations in the expression and distribution of GluR2 and PICK1 in the rat hippocampus

► The expression of PICK1, and CaN B was significantly decreased in the hippocampus of old rats. ► This decrease was accompanied by a decrease in GluR2 and PKCα and an increase in CaN A. ► The expression of PICK1 and GluR2 was closely around the perinuclear of hippocampal neurons in the old rats.
