Antigen, antibody and immune complex detection in serum samples from rats experimentally infected with Strongyloides venezuelensis

► We used immunosuppressed rats as experimental model for strongyloidiasis. ► We examine for the first time the immune complex detection for strongyloidiasis. ► Serum samples were used for antigen, antibody and immune complex detection. ► It was observed that antigen detection was not good approaches for diagnosis. ► The immune complex seems to be an alternative for early strongyloidiasis diagnosis.
