Enhanced reduction of chlorophenols by nanoscale zerovalent iron supported on organobentonite

► CMTA-Bent enriched chlorophenol(CP)s on NZVI surface and enhanced the reduction. ► The enhancement on reduction rate is positively related to CPs' hydrophobicity. ► NZVI/CTMA-Bent showed good reusability due to fewer precipitates on iron surface.
