Bisphenol A in supermarket receipts and its exposure to human in Shenzhen, China

► Bisphenol A (BPA) in supermarket receipts and human exposure were examined. ► The exposure of humans to BPA via dermal absorption was equivalent with dietary exposure. ► Human exposure to BPA via handling receipts in Shenzhen deserves more concerns. ► Handling time and handling frequency of receipts are the most influential variables.
