Degradation process analysis of the azo dyes by catalytic wet air oxidation with catalyst CuO/γ-Al2O3

► Three typical azo dyes are treated by catalytic wet air oxidation. ► The catalysts used in the CWAO experiment were CuO/γ-Al2O3 prepared by consecutive impregnation. ► The degradation effects were characterized by removal rate of color, COD and TOC. ► The UV-Vis, IR and MS were used to analyze degradation course and product of the azo dyes.
