Adsorption-desorption behavior of 2,4-D on NCP-modified bentonite and zeolite: Implications for slow-release herbicide formulations

► Bentonite and zeolite modified with NCP+ surfactant was used to adsorb 2,4-D. ► The NCP-modified minerals showed good 2,4-D adsorption capacity. ► Between 29 to 50% of the sorbed 2,4-D released from the modified minerals. ► The sorbents are good supports for slow-release formulation of 2,4-D.
