Biodegradation of tribenuron methyl that is mediated by microbial acidohydrolysis at cell-soil interface

► Tribenuron methyl (TBM) degrading bacteria were enriched and isolated from polluted soil. ► They degrade TBM via production of organic acids and occur commonly in soil. ► It is proposed that microbe-mediated acidohydrolysis is involved in TBM degradation and happens at cell-soil interfaces.
