Combined approaches to determine the impact of wood fire on PCDD/F and PCB contamination of the environment: A case study

► A firewood took place during 3 months on a former pyralene-transformers disposal site. ► Extension of PCDD/F and PCB environmental contamination was addressed using combined approaches. ► Experimental combustion, site investigation, modeling and statistical approaches were combined. ► A tracer of the PCDD/F contamination was identified but none for the PCB contamination.
