Spectral estimation of global levels of atmospheric pollutants

► Structural spatial model with smoothing mechanism as naive transport of atmospheric dispersion. ► Spectral technique capable of handling environmental datasets with global coverage. ► Model gives smooth levels and interpolates missing and zero-valued locations. ► Confidence intervals of underlying levels are also obtained. ► Global levels of CO2, CH4 and NMVOC are estimated and analysed geographically.
