Perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs) in riverine and coastal sediments of Laizhou Bay, North China

► Perfluoroalkyl acids are systematically investigated in the riverine and coastal sediments. ► PFOA is the dominant compounds. ► Distribution patterns of PFOA in river sites are determined by sources. ► Hydrological processes play a major role on the distribution of PFOA in coastal sediment. ► Risk assessment showed negligible effects of PFASs to benthic organism.
