Organochlorine compound accumulation in delphinids from Rio de Janeiro State, southeastern Brazilian coast

► ∑ PCBs levels were high for all delphinids (from 0.6 to 257.2 μg g− 1 lw). ► The highest concentrations were found in killer whale and false killer whale. ► Fraser's dolphins presented the lowest contamination levels among all analyzed species. ► There was a predominance of p,p′DDE for ΣDDT in all species. ► Discriminant analysis showed a different organochlorine accumulation pattern among delphinids.
