Automatic on-line monitoring of atmospheric volatile organic compounds: Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and gas chromatography-flame ionization detection as complementary systems

► VOCs in ambient air were monitored using GC-MS and GC-FID as complementary systems. ► Results could help to amend VOC databases obtained with GC-FID. ► Compounds previously not reported in similar international VOC databases are included.
