Synthesis and oxygen permeation properties of a Ce0.8Sm0.2O2−δ-LaBaCo2O5+δ dual-phase composite membrane

► Nano-sized Ce0.8Sm0.2O2−δ and LaBaCo2O5+δ powders were synthesized via a surfactant CTAB-assisted method. ► LaBaCo2O5+δ with double-perovskite structure is used as electron conducting material. ► The oxygen permeability of Ce0.8Sm0.2O2−δ-LaBaCo2O5+δ (SDC-LBCO) dual-phase membrane as a function of thickness and temperature was investigated.
