Pretreatment of partially delignified hybrid poplar for biofuels production: Characterization of organosolv hemicelluloses

▶ Successful treatments resulted in a fractionation of the native hemicelluloses. ▶ Hemicellulosic fraction had a main structure of (1 → 4)-linked β-d-Xylp backbone. ▶ The isolated hemicellulose was beneficial for enzymatic saccharification.
