Structure and evolutionary relationships among paralogous genes within the Sec2 locus in rye

► Sequence information for 59 paralogous genes in locus Sec2 was reported. ► The paralogous genes with different length were originated from an ancestor sequence. ► This locus increased amount of protein and reduced the SDS-sedimentation value.
