Multidecadal signals within co-occurring intertidal barnacles Semibalanus balanoides and Chthamalus spp. linked to the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation

► Semibalanus balanoides abundance was significantly related to the AMO and local SST. ► Chthamalus spp. abundance showed strong autocorrelation and thus no significant relationship to the AMO. ► There were no significant relationships between the NAO and barnacle densities.
