Inequalities and asymptotic expansions for the gamma function related to Mortici's formula

Inspired by a formula of C. Mortici for approximation to Γ(n+1), we establish a class of asymptotic expansions for the gamma function. Based on these expansions, we present new upper and lower bounds for the gamma function.
