An entry of Ramanujan on continued fraction involving the gamma function in his notebooks

In this paper we give a new proof of Ramanujanʼs continued fraction involving the Gamma function, Entry 39 of Chapter 12 of Ramanujanʼs second notebook, by using Watsonʼs form of the Bauer-Muir transformation.
