► Alpine thrusted ophiolites and deformation in the western margin of Oman Mountains. ► Three tectonic activities during the deposition of Late Campanian-Tertiary sequence. ► New open marine basin during the deposition of the Campanian-Maastrichtian rocks. ► A local megabreccia and conglomerate basin that not found elsewhere in the margin.
