The research and application of spray cooling technology in Shanghai Expo

► The climatic characteristics of 2010 Expo are close to the predicted results. ► Air temperature drop is 5-7 °C at most when ambient temperature is 35 °C. ► The WBGT in spraying region of experiment can be reduced by 5.2 °C at most. ► The COP of spraying is over 30 when spray pressure is greater than 5.5 Mpa. ► Prediction and actual measurements show spray cooling have effect.
