Analysis of electric and thermal seasonal performances of a residential microCHP unit

► We model one detached house built in 70's in Italy with two kinds of generators for space heating. ► We analyzed performances of a microCHP wall hung domestic unit and a wall hung gas condensing boiler. ► We assess the economical and energetic performances. ► The microCHP unit can reduce the primary energy demand in existing building. ► The microCHP unitcan obtain savings that justify the investment if systems are suitable.
