Experimental measurement and numerical simulation of horizontal-coupled slinky ground source heat exchangers

► Detailed measurement and three dimensional modelling of slinky heat exchangers. ► The COPh of the Horizontal-Coupled Slinky Ground Source Heat Pump varied with the ambient environmental conditions. ► The larger the diameter of the coil in the slinky heat exchanger, the higher the heat extraction per meter length of soil.► The heat extraction per meter length of soil decreased with the increase of the coil central interval distance.
