Efficient electrochemical reduction of bromate by a Pd/rGO/CFP electrode with low applied potentials

- Pd and rGO have a synergistic effect on the indirect BrO3− reduction involving H*.
- Cathode potential for BrO3− reduction was lower than overpotential of hydrogen.
- Redox reaction between Pd and rGO contributes to the electrode stability.
