Phototransformation of model micropollutants in water samples by photocatalytic singlet oxygen production in heterogeneous medium

- 1O2 photosensitized degradation of ibuprofen, bisphenol A and paracetamol.
- Ibuprofen and bisphenol A are susceptible of efficient phototransformation by 1O2.
- Paracetamol was phototransformed only to a limited extent.
- Reduced effectiveness of micropollutants elimination is observed in river waters.
- Phototransformation products have been structurally elucidated by UHPLC/QTOF-MS.
