Selective conversion of glycerol to hydroxyacetone in gas phase over La2CuO4 catalyst

- High yields of hydroxyacetone were achieved in gas phase over La2CuO4 at 260 °C.
- Cu2+ in La2CuO4 partially reduced into Cu1+ during time on stream.
- No catalytic deactivation during 20 h of reaction at 260 °C.
