- Combustion gases generated by a methane burner were used to create a simulated flue gas atmosphere.
- Trace levels of gaseous benzene were catalytically oxidized under simulated flue gas condition.
- Nano-TiO2-supported catalyst exhibited higher activity despite its lowest V content.
- No competition effect between benzene oxidation and NOx reduction was observed.
- Molecular structures of surface VOx species were investigated and activation energies were calculated.
