Porous nickel-based catalysts for combined steam and carbon dioxide reforming of methane

- Crystallites of supported nickel were found to be epitaxially bound with MgO.
- Method of preparation of Ni ribbon catalysts with the MgO covering was developed.
- These catalysts showed stable activity in combined H2O-and-CO2 reforming of CH4.
- TEM investigation has not revealed any carbon deposits in these catalysts.
