Cu-containing MFI zeolites as catalysts for wet peroxide oxidation of formic acid as model organic contaminant

- Cu- and Fe-substituted zeolites in CWPO of formic acid were systematically examined.
- Cu-ZSM-5-30 (0.5-1.5 wt% Cu) catalysts are most promising for CWPO.
- High efficiency is provided by square-planar Cu oxide clusters in zeolite channels.
