Preparation, characterization and application of K-PtCo/Al2O3 catalyst coatings for preferential CO oxidation

- Less than 10 ppm CO at a high GHSV under a wide temperature window was achieved.
- The favorable role of K is ascribed to its promotional effect on Pt3Co formation.
- The K addition rules out a redox equilibrium for Co species.
